The Columbus North Market is the city's oldest public food market,
dating back to the 1870's. Inside there are a variety of
independent merchants, providing everything from fresh fruits and
vegetables, poultry, meats, and home raised beef and mutton, to the
best selection of varietal cheeses in the city.
The market is located at 59 Spruce Street, Columbus, Ohio, USA, and is
a few hundred yards from the downtown Convention Center and the Arena
District. There's easy parking, and lots more nearby.
Plus, every Saturday morning whenever it's warm enough, there is a
year-round farmer's market on the sidewalk in front of the
market. Expect seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh cut flowers,
herbs, farmstead cheeses, mushrooms, herbal dressings and dipping
sauces, and lots af stuff that you can't find in the grocery stores,
anywhere.
Like us. We've been regulars there for four years, and try to
show up weekly, rain or shine. Check out the
North Market
website. There's a lot there.
